Our app calculates splits automatically. We are not responsible if your roommate refuses to actually pay you.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the GroceryPaper web application, mobile application, or any associated services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of the terms, you do not have permission to access the Service.
2. Account Registration and Security
When you create an account with us, you must provide information that is accurate, complete, and current at all times. Failure to do so constitutes a breach of the Terms, which may result in immediate termination of your account.
3. Shared Workspaces & Ledgers
GroceryPaper provides features allowing users to collaborate on lists ("Workspaces") and calculate shared expenses ("Ledgers").
Financial Disclaimer: GroceryPaper strictly acts as a calculator and ledger for shared expenses. We do not process payments directly between users, nor do we act as a debt collector. You are solely responsible for executing external payments via third-party services (e.g., Venmo, PayPal, CashApp) to settle debts recorded in GroceryPaper.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to upload or share any content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, or attempt to bypass or compromise any security measures of the Service.

Your grocery habits are yours. We do not package, sell, or rent your list data to supermarkets or advertisers.
2. You control your workspaces.
When you delete a paper, it's gone. When you remove a member, their access is immediately revoked.

We collect information you provide directly to us, such as when you create or modify your account, request on-demand services, contact customer support, or otherwise communicate with us. This information may include: name, email, avatar image, and encrypted password.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to provide, maintain, and improve our services. Specifically, to:
- Enable real-time syncing of your shared lists and ledgers.
- Send you technical notices, updates, security alerts, and support messages.
- Calculate expense splits accurately between invited workspace members.
3. Information Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal data. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:
- With Workspace Members: Your name, avatar, and added items/prices are visible to other users you explicitly invite to your workspaces.
- For Legal Reasons: If we believe disclosure is in accordance with, or required by, any applicable law, regulation, or legal process.
4. Data Security
We take reasonable measures to help protect information about you from loss, theft, misuse and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration and destruction. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
